Story Behind The Song

I was in a 13 year relationship and was torn apart when it ended. But now I am in a new one and can look back and realize how much the old relationship taught me. I realize that it takes a strength to say good-bye and I wanted to let people know that that strength, when found, is to be commended.

Song Description

This is about a guy who is looking back on an old relationship. It's been awhile but he still remembers how he grieved over the loss for quite a long time. But, looking back now he realizes that it was all for the best and finally saying good bye set him free to move forward. Now he has found a new love, forgives the past, and is thankful for all that he has learned from the experience. Now he can dance all day and dance all night because he had the strenght to say good-bye.
