Story Behind The Song
I was experimenting with reversing recorded guitar riffs. The one I selected for this particular song, sounds the same forward and backwards with the following exceptions, the riff fades into the introduction, the attack and decay feature of the notes is inverted. What I found, is the riff being centered around the 12th fret causes the harmonic overtone dominant tones to merge with the notes themselves. This effect creates the illusion of more than one guitar riff being simultaneously played. This is one guitar in the beginning not two or three. I developed this (initial) learning exercise into a full-fledged instrumental song.
Song Description
A classic rock power-trio instrumental with heavy emphasis on the electric guitar as an almost symphonic instrument (ie 2,4,6 etc guitars in harmony ala Led Zeppelin, ACDC, Van Halen). The instrumental fades into the beginning introductory piece of an overall bigger concept album. The vision features psychadelic, acid rock, sound paintings, energetic mood swings, visions and experiences ala Electric Ladyland, The Song Remains The Same, The Wall, White Album and so on...
