Story Behind The Song
While a student at Edward Waters College in 2004, and being inspired by our President, Dr. Jimmy R Jenkins, I accepted a challenge to write a song that embraces, and exudes the pride of Edward Waters College. I envisioned a march, but I wanted to incorporate the school's Alma Matta. The outcome is this selection. This is JRJ (The Rising Star)
Song Description
JRJ (The Rising Star) is a March originally written and dedicated to then Edward Waters College President Jimmy R Jenkins, who had a truly memorable saying, that being "If You Look To The Northeast, You Will See A RISING STAR, And That Star Is Edward Waters College"
