Story Behind The Song
I was on a job with only two hours sleep between shifts and decided that I needed a LOT of caffine. This phrase came into my head, "Four Cups of Coffee and a few hours sleep" which I knew would be a great concept for a road song. It took me a while to write, but I like how it came out. Enjoy!

Lyrics
Four Cups of Coffee
I got two more days to make one last stop,
Tonapah to Baton Rouge
Fifeteen hundred miles on I-Ten,
Can hardly wait when
I'll be headin' straight to you
Phoenix it came easy, Tucson had a breeze
Took some time to get to El Paso
Then I started draggin'
My energy was flaggin'
Knew what I had to do
Drank Four Cups of Coffee, had a few hours sleep
I'm feelin' good to go
Might be over my head, but I'm goin' in deep
One thing that I need
Give me Four Cups of Coffee, and I'll give up sleep
I'll be ready to go,
Give Me Four Cups of Coffee, its all I need
Give Me Four Cups of Coffee, Please
Pulled over at a rest stop out near Pecos
Not even half way
Well I closed my eyes then to my surprise
Came the dawn of a brand new day
Knew I had to move or I was sure to loose
The momentum I need so bad
Pulled out my thermos
Then I got nervous
I had drunk up every drop I had
Chorus
Then I thought about you
Waitin' there when my work is through
Then I knew just what to do
Chorus
