Story Behind The Song

"What Is The Answer?" was written at a time in my life where I felt as if my political and community work was being done for no reason -- that despite my committment to changing the world, it didn't seem to be making a difference. I pose this simple question to express the general confusion I felt in my life at the time. I also expressed a more spiritual line when feeling "lost", which is actually somewhat un-characteristic for me, as I consider myself to be agnostic. But, maybe this is representative of society as a whole -- we want to clutch on to hope by any means necesarry, even if it means grabbing on to the mystical instead of the practical.

Song Description

"What Is The Answer?" is a record that captures the dilemma of a man who seems to know his role in life, but still feels lost at times because of the backwardness of the world we live in. It obviously has very social and spiritual messages, questioning whether or not right and wrong are really so black and white or more shades of grey.
