Story Behind The Song
"Changing Weather" was greatly influenced by Marcel Cartier's experiences while living in Queens, New York City in 2005.
Song Description
"Changing Weather" poses the question of how the masses of people can overcome the backwards conditions of contemporary U.S. society, in particular in the urban communities. Cartier's search for direction is both personal and social.

(INTRO)
Alright... You see, we all pretty much know that this world is in a dismal state., right? I mean, I think that's pretty obvious for all of us to see, to say... But the question remains, what the fuck we gonna do about it? Everybody out here talking, talking! Who down to walk though? Naw mean?
(VERSE ONE)
Okay, I'm ready, got my thoughts together
Me the artist, you the listener gon' change the weather
In simple terms, this is more than words
It's more than a song, this is more like pearls
the power of healing, reach the ceiling
reach for the heavens, I've got that feeling
we got a void like tryna find
the next Malcolm X or the king or rhyme
and ever since 'Pac left, okay we took steps
but they're backwards, we're reaching for death
...I'm tryna tell everybody to ease up
the whole damn world man, confused as fuck
so imbedded in the brain, yes the game
ain't changed for centuries, it's still the same
this is for my souljahs working chain gangs
...this shit is sickening mang!
(CHORUS) (X2)
Aiiyo, we know who we are, but where we gonna go?
How we gonna do this, take control?
How we gonna conquer, how can we?
How can we, how can we simply be?
(VERSE TWO)
The economics of this shit's the basis
I see the pain on a million faces
So I'm with you if you're white, black or purple
If you sincere we can craft that circle
much needed to come together
Praise Revolution, that's changing weather!
That's the endeavor, that's the real!
That's what I'm talking 'bout, let us reveal
solutions to problems we talk about
and I ain't gonna talk shit, if I run my mouth
I'm 'a be about it, yeah that's me son!
at the city hall clutching my gun
But only if we feel it gotta come to that
still gotta take some sorta action, scrap
R.I.P. to everybody who fell
tryna make a difference in concrete hell
and all in jail for raising they fist
raising concern, we gonna take this bitch
we gonna take this shit, yeah that's what it's about
...A Bush killa man, I marked my route out, NOW!
(CHORUS) (X2)
(OUTRO)
Aww man... Please somebody give me an answer... can't go on like this! Shit is fucking crazy man... I know you feel me, I know you feel me man! This pain inside... bring this shit to the forefront son... Until I die!
