Story Behind The Song
During the pandemic, like all of us, I had absolutely nothing to do. Like many others, my companies were closed, my tour was cancelled, and my boyfriend decided he didn't to be together anymore. Soon after this all my supposed LA friends disappeared into thin air and I was left with the common reality of feeling alone.
So what to do with all of these emotions, anxiety, and FREE TIME!? Tiktok of course! I got lost in this new world of inspiring sounds, dances, and artists who were reinventing ways of sharing their passions. SO I did too, constantly! To the point where my shuffling videos garnished over 10 Million views. It wasn't long before I had invitations to meet other shufflers who shared these passions, and before I knew it? My life has changed forever. I had stumbled into a culture that gave me so much more than I could every give back. It revitalized my purpose, calling, and drive in life.
So I decided to take what that meant to me that inspiration and put out music for that community.
I wrote this song to embody those moments when we all would crowd around a speaker and throw out all of our favorite moves. Just to get it out of our systems.
