Story Behind The Song
I was looking for a song idea, a concept. Seeing a book on fashion I'd purchased, I took it from the shelf and opened it to a random page. I saw a single page description of what is termed the first manifestation of punk style. There was a sub culture in Vichy France during the second world war. They called themselves Zazou. I did further research. I had a rhythmic melody I'd writtin about a year or so previous that I'd never been able to create lyrics except for the refrain I ultimately used. I was able to describe the Zazou style in the verses.

Lyrics
I've got my lingo and I go in style
I could be laughin' or I might be smile
My suit pants baggy and my quiff hairdo
I feel real kitschy parlez vous zazou
What does it matter
It's idle chatter
Just climb the ladder
I've got my brella weather rain or shine
My knee low jacket yes I do look fine
Ive got my sweetie she is who I am
We hang together at cafe' Pam Pam
What does it matter
It's idle chatter
Just climb the ladder
When we go on the town we dance in a crazy way
Never carin' what people think... or what they say
I got my spenders got a thin mustache
I say no Vichy always flashin' cash
If you be gamble you can bet wazoo
I ain't no jacko I'm complete Zazou
What does it matter
It's idle chatter
Just climb the ladder
A boom boom socka chocka zim bam boo
A low la wicky parlez vous zazou
Caroomba zobee doobie ooo la la
I go now stylin' so I say ta ta
