Story Behind The Song
I wrote this song for and about my daughter, Jaymee. A person has to be a parent to understand the depth of parent/child love. It is all-consuming. The joy a child brings is unbelievable. With such love comes pain because parents suffer when a child suffers. No feelings can ever be as strong.
Song Description
When I listen to a song I enjoy it when I can relate to the song-writer. This song expresses the love a parent has for a child. I hope that parents that listen to it can say to their child - that is how I feel. Time flies by and there seems to be so little time to express feelings - a song can be a way for enjoying that expression and remembering it.

Lyrics
Jaymee
Music and Lyrics by Jim Krochka
Jaymee, Jaymee
Your smile's so bright
morning, noon and night
Jaymee, Jaymee
I cherish the day
you were born
Jaymee, Jaymee
My love is so strong
it can never be torn
You're an adult now
but still my little girl
A father's eyes how
his girl makes them swirl
Jaymee, Jaymee
I cherish each day
in every way
Jaymee, Jaymee
You lifted my heart
right from the start
Jaymee, Jaymee
I'll be on your team
together we'll dream
Go well in life
my dear
May it be a happy one
far or near
For a father's love
is strong year after year
Jaymee, Jaymee
I'll close now
but will think of you
as I always do
Good day, sweetheart, I love you
