Story Behind The Song
This was written at the height of the economic downturn. Bankers were quick to lend money but slow to work with borrowers when the economy crashed. Oddly, the bankers shot themselves in their collective foots by fueling the foreclosure train. This song is dedicated to them. See the video on youtube.
Song Description
I suppose in every economic catastrophe something is learned. Unfortunately no two are alike so it is difficult to use that knowledge in the next one. What we learned in the recent one is that bankers are not the brightest people in the world. They contributed to the real estate bubble with no-doc loans but were nowhere to be found when they also could have been part of the solution. Had they lowered rates quickly when the Fed lowered their rates they could have slowed or stopped the foreclosure train. Instead they fueled the train and then stepped in front of it deepening their losses. This song is dedicated to them.

Lyrics
Inside The Banker's Brain
Take a mortgage out
Everyone, even those without
Own a property - two or three
Why, it's almost free
We'll lend you the money, if you don't need it
Mountains of documents you'll sign, better believe it
Economy goes bad, suffer the strain
Look inside the banker's brain
Remember that rental property you bought?
That mortgage you were so happy you got?
Now you had to lower the rent five times
Call the bank, hey let's share the pain
Try to stop the foreclosure train
We'll lend you the money, if you don't need it
Mountains of documents you'll sign, better believe it
Economy goes bad, suffer the strain
Look inside the banker's brain
So you've got a negative cash flow
Lower the rate? The answer is "no"
The Fed made our money so easy
But pass it on? That makes us queasy
Yah, you'll suffer - no where to turn
Can't stop the train is what you'll learn
Look to the sky asking why
As your credit score takes a dive
We'll lend you the money, if you don't need it
Mountains of documents you'll sign, better believe it
Economy goes bad, suffer the strain
Look inside the banker's brain
