Story Behind The Song
The story of a relationship where she is slowing falling out of love and he is grasping to keep her, even if she has to lie to him and pretend nothing is wrong.
Song Description
"The piano solo in the opening of the track sounds incredibly beautiful and was effective in grabbing my attention right from the first note. The vocals sounded amazing as the vocalist has a wonderful and smoky and soulful tone to his voice. The chorus is catchy and for me is the main feature of the song. I love the shape of this track. The instrumental arrangement is on topic and sound fantastic during the solo instrumental segments. I think the lyrics are also well thought out." Actual Crowd review Quote

Lyrics
Lie To Me
Brother Bicker
Verse 1:
She takes another sip of her bitter wine,
her lips curl up in an awkward smile
and he knows it doesn't taste the same
Don't know when their hearts got unaligned
but she knows no one is to blame
Chorus:
Lie to me, tell me that you want me, say it enough it just might come true
Stood by me, I now that you love me
but tell me girl is it enough for you
Verse 2:
He looks back on their early days, their hearts collided and they burn like flames
but for her that was so long ago
He knows that there is more that he needs to say
but she don't look at him quite the same as she did
those many years before
Chorus:
Lie to me, tell me that you want me, say it enough it just might come true
Stood by me, I now that you love me
but tell me girl is it enough for you
Solo:
Don't you doubt it
Just think about it
And he begs, Please think about it
He cries, I can't live it hour you no whoa whoa
Verse 3:
Been together for so damn long,
the things they came to love are now what's wrong
and the more he tries to change
the less she needs him
There's a tear in her eye and he's afraid she's gone
a final note in a sad, sad song
but he's much, much to proud to plead
Chorus:
Lie to me, tell me that you want me, say it enough it just might come true
Stood by me, I now that you love me
but tell me girl is it enough for you
Verse:
She takes another sip of her bitter wine,
her lips curl up in an awkward smile and he knows
it doesn't taste the same
