Born in Yuma, Az, I grew up working hard on my family's cotton farm. I remember my only retreat being my fathers old upright piano in a room around the corner from the living room. There I remember I could be alone and I would sit for hours and play, sing and write music into the late hours of the night. This was where I spent my time....at the piano. When I was older and all my friends were at the mall shopping, or flirting with boys, I'd be home sitting at the piano playing music. It was my greatest joy, my favorite hobby, my deepest desire... and still is to this day.

From contemporary Christian to bluegrass? That doesn't seem to be a stretch for Sandra. Sometimes I wonder just where her comfort zone is. It seems to be boundless. With unique creativity she has written Christmas musicals, love songs, bluegrass ballads, children's tunes, praise and worship and contemporary Christian music.

Like...how would if feel to fly an F-16 at mach 1.3 one hundred feet off the surface of the earth? Exhilarating would be an understatement. This is the level of passion Sandra writes into her music. Her deep rooted love for God is exemplified in her songs.

Sandra has a passion for flying. Sometimes, I believe it is for the thrill of being in control of the aircraft that appeals to her. Sometimes, I think it is for the freedom and solitude of being alone at 7500 feet. Then, sometimes I truly believe that it puts her closer to God....literally. That's what her music is like. You seem to get all these sensations from it; the fast exciting movement of the bluegrass style to the melodic pace and heart touching lyrics of her Christian pieces.
