Hi Anthony, Thank you for the *****s and PL on "Amsterdam ~ with Trinity". Always appreciate hearing from you and your support. I love your e.e cumming's inspired song, "Kiss"! I've always loved his poetry, and you framed this quiet beautifully, with your vocals and strong guitar work! Peace~ Cyndi
Hello Cyndi. You're welcome. "Amsterdam" appears to have both Latin and Dream-Pop elements. Interesting song, well done, good collaboration. I always enjoy listening to your songs. Thanks for your comments about "Kiss". That song came about exactly as I wrote in the notes. Anthony
Very kind of you to say; Greg Beale's music is most inspirational, and always an enjoyable collaboration. Your notes on "Kiss" were most poignant, in that missing your loved one, so far away on the front lines, and putting the poem to music, is a sweet honor to her! Thanks too, for stopping by "A Crime of Passion" and adding to PL. Best to you!
Good morning all, Just want to thank you, for the *****s and PLs that you've given, during these last two weeks, of which I have been, as they say, "under the weather". And couldn't respond. I usually stay logged in, so even if it shows that I'm on here, doesn't mean that I am....:-/ I saw where you had listened to several songs Susan, and Amy, some stars on another tune, and others, adding to the list; !thank you Hopefully, now working being back on the mend, I want to start enjoying your music, resuming musical projects, and life in general! Happy Almost Spring! Cyndi
Mend, Dear C.C. - be well and strong!

Hello Peter, no problem. I appreciate the return recognition.
"Give me your hungry, your tired, your poor, I'll piss on 'em That's what the Statue of Bigotry says Your poor huddled masses, let's club 'em to death And get it over with and just dump 'em on the boulevard" Lou Reed, "Dirty Boulevard" The difference, of course, is that Lou was talking about growing up poor in the city, being abused and the limited options available. Now it's government policy. It doesn't have to be this way. ACM
No, it does not have to be this way, but for a complicit congress with a madman at the top...........
"Blackheart The Pirate" Blackheart the pirate spoke with a lisp Curiously lost when uttering the truth Alas, a youthful inheritance could not cure his impediment Still he rose to the top when scribes forbade mention of it Blackheart's father was really a "mother" Who passed on his ideology of hatred Naked ambition combined with a narcissist's perception Altered reality for the sake of some "yes men" Eyes could see but the image was warped Ears could hear but the sound was cut short Lips moved to speak and the lisp was ignored His touch insincere and his mistresses love bought Liars are not born, they evolve by natural selection Positive reinforcement through successful elections Negative consequences of honest reflection Sycophants who attach with the promise of protection If the measure of man is a life filled with self-pleasure It's easy to envy his bounty of treasure But the truth, now forbidden, will not always remain hidden The blame for this cretin lies deep in our own skin A. Hello Jeff. The first couple of lines came into my head while driving around town a few days ago and I finished it later in the day. I considered setting the lyric to music and saving it for later (whenever I record again down the road), but decided that it was perfect for right now and couldn't wait. We'll see. If I get the inspiration down the road, maybe I'll make a song of it. If you're interested in taking a shot at it, go for it. Thanks for the comment. I liked your newest song...reminds me of the sentiment in McCartney's "Silly Love Songs". It's never too late for a song about love, as long as it's sincere. Anthony
You two should make this happen; more, very moving and revealing lyrics Anthony. As always, you cut to the chase!
Thank you, Cyndi.
Hello Peter, Thanks for the deep dive into "Blonde Orchid" and the stars. Keep doing what you're doing. Anthony

Thank you. That's a two-way street.
It's amazing how those years add up when you're not looking. You and I went through the same worm hole. Be careful with those groupies...they may want you solely for the ginseng. :)
I think the gigs I'll be doing when i'm famous the groupies will be asking me if I have polident and throwing their depends at me...
Very cool new song. Bowie, Roxy Music and the Flintstones...a unique combination.
Thanks Anthony!! Here's some deep culture for you, that'll make the Jelly Fruit Jar label allusion clearer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QIN yBdZvH4g
OK if that link doesn't work for me it won't work for you. Look up George Jones: Yabba Dabba Do It's an American classic!!
When I was a very young child (5-8), my father used to take me to a local barber shop where he would have the barber give me a crew cut. In the background, they always had George Jones, Tammy Wynette, Porter Waggoner, Dolly Parton, etc. playing. I always associated having my head shaved against my will with that music. I've never been able to listen to that style of music since. Thanks for the explanation. Learn something new everyday.
Oh man that's unfair to have given you a bad association with that stuff. It's such great music--the real country that is. Ironically there's a great country song in your story...
"The Buzz Cut Deliverance From Country Blues" :)
When I hear that Honky Tonk sound I look for the clippers comin' round
The beer cans in my truck bed remind me of my buzzed head (this is too easy)
B&B Love the backup singers. Do them all!
Yeah, they did a great job. Always wanted to do a song with that style back up singers. This song was an opportunity to have a little fun. Thanks for your support over the years. Hope all is well with you.
Hi Spermatochords, Thank toy so much for adding The Passing of a Black Star to your playlist. I really appreciate it! Marian
You're welcome, Marian. Excellent piece of music...worthy of the subject matter. Glad to see someone on Broadjam actually getting their music heard in the real world. Congratulations. Anthony
