Peter G Olach: Bio of a Master Songwriter and Novelist
It was the early 70's during the heyday of the vibrant Detroit Folk Scene when Peter first launched his music career. Detroit, Ann Arbor, Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, the Catskills, Boston, Ft. Lauderdale, Miami, Nashville, Atlanta and so many other cities in-between became home and audience to Peter's original music.
Mastering a full compliment of unique open-tuning styles for acoustic guitar, Peter created a sound that was all his own. Peter's songs are meaningful, story-driven that incorporate elements of American, Celtic, Alternative Folk, Mountain and Country Western. But, don't be surprised when you hear just a touch of Pop, Jazz, Blues or Indie-Rock woven into the fabric of his songs as each musical story might demand.
Peter now resides high atop the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina. Of his musical path, Peter is comfortable with this stage of his creative life. "My journey has brought me to a place that I now call home, a place I find so rewarding, a place where my heart belongs. I find myself inspired by the rich traditions born within these mountains. I have found a place where my imagination is free to explore all the wonders of storytelling. I've already begun work on a second novel to fulfill a major trilogy. What can I say? I have found my home!"
