Really blown away by head in the clouds. I'm a drummer/guitarist/songwriter/want to be singer. Ive played Drums for my band Sunset Red for many years and I wrote and produced my own CD "On the Outside". I sang on it because I wrote everything so I felt I needed to "attempt" in order to get the vibe and feel of the song down. I finally now have all my solo stuff and Sunset Red material up on Broadjam. I love all styles of music but when I heard the beginning of "Head in the Clouds," it really moved me to tears. It has such a powerful and spiritual feel to it and it reminds me of memories. If that makes sense at all. I have piano in some of my songs but they were done by a session player in Nashville who simply added them when we were mixing. The song is called Sometimes. Anyways, congrats on your stuff. Have you had any luck with Broadjam? Gotten anything used and been paid yet? Just curious. Also trying to see if this submission thing is worth it or not. Always good to stay connected with other artists who are normal and doing the same thing. Much appreciated! Terry

Hi Terry-- thanks for your kind words about "Head in the Clouds". I appreciate it! I listened to your "Miracles". It is very beautiful, such a touching song to go along with an amazing story! You have a great sound, and I think a lot of listings are looking for songs with meaningful lyrics and depth like this one. I have had a few songs placed from the Broadjam listings, all of them song library placements, but none of them have been used in anything yet. In Septemeber 2021 I released my first album through CD Baby, and I plan to release another one in a couple months. This is another way for songs to be discovered, via streaming platforms. it may never happen, but I'll just continue plugging away. :-)

Jeana!

Very nice! Thank you for the feedback as well. have you ever toured or played out or are you more of a recording artist. In the 90's I toured and played all over with my band Sunset Red, (as the drummer) but I've only recorded my own material. I've submitted songs that we used in Sunset Red but we have quite a few talented writers in the Band. Our Guitarist Ron Robinson is a producer now and he lives in Nashville. I totally forgot I wrote down what Miracles was about. I was reading what you wrote and you took me back to that place. That's the cool thing about music. I had not listened to that in years. I don't know if your like me but I hate hearing myself sing. I cringe. Not a singer so I hate hearing myself attempt it. I hope your having a great week and keep up the inspirational tunes!

Yes Terry. Evan

After submitting (and being considered) my songs to various providers and paying for those submissions, none even have selected any Broadjam artists.
This really sucks. I am wondering why I even consider paying for those submissions.
I just might as well close my Broadjam account, and look for other opportunities elsewhere.

What's happening Terry. Aren't Friday's between 3pm till Sunday around roughly 10pm when you have to go to bed and get up early Monday morning to go back to work the absolute best times and days of the week? Lol!!!

I just wanted to say thank you for your friend request and to congratulate you on your recent placement with your song Move On. I took a listen to it and I really dug the song through and through man. The intro threw me off in the most pleasant kind of way. I must admit that I did not expect the sudden change of direction the song went into and with such a nice n ballsy riff to boot. Well done, executed and recorded man. Nice tone you got there! If you don't mind me asking. Were you pushing air through an amp or did you use a plugin? Either way it worked for you. Well done! Could that have been a Les Paul?
Good Song Terry

haha thanks bro. as an artist I have a dark aesthetic - pretty melancholic lyrics, gothic imagery, and flares of metal throughout some of my compositions. my initials are SES so it's kinda if u know u know kinda thing ;) appreciate u listening!

Ah got it, considering there's the word "cesspool" calling yourself SESPOOL is both dark and funny at the same time.

haha yes cesspool is a disgusting word and as a writer I love wordplay ;) surprisingly the amount of people that misspell "cesspool" as "sespool" on places like twitter is truly shocking lol

Just kind of stumbled on this. very interesting and creative stuff. Bay Area based as well. I toured and played in the City quite a bit many years ago with my band Sunset Red. Everyone is recording and doing there own things now. I'm still licensing our music for projects and recorded my own CD with all songs I've written. Its really mellow compared to what you have going on but I love all styles. I'm a huge Tool fan and as a drummer, grew up on Rush, Floyd, anything really. Keep at it. Just wanted to say I am digging your stuff. If your doing any shows in the Bay Area let me know I would be happy to spread the word and come check you guys if your playing live.
