Thank you Roger for your kind review of my song "Billies Song". The biggest hurdle I have with the song is the Name. Kind of hard to find placement for a song with a name in the title. Lol
Titles are usually found in the chorus as you know. Some songwriters begin writing the song from a catchy phase / title. Go get em!
Loved it my brother. Best of everything!
Thanks for the great review of Farmer's Daughter, Roger! Glad you enjoyed it.
Hi there, Jeff, thanks for the review of Feed Me, I'm Hungry. Song is ancient and somewhat outdated, but there are still hungry people out there. Your friend in FL, Mrs Kate
Thanks for your review of Rising Sun Blues. The lyrics are the originals by Clarence Ashley as recorded in 1932. Doc Watson brought Clarence Ashley into the studio in 1962 and added the last verse. The original composition and recording by Ashley is a 1, 4 & 5 progression. It has been morphed and changed over the years. This is my arraignment and vocals performed and recorded by our trio Marshall, Bolt & Harr in 2013 at Jackalope Records Santa Rosa Ca. Hope this finds you well and happy my brother.
Hello Roger, thanks for the review of Bifocal Blues! Vintage to be sure! Mrs. Kate
Hi Simon, thank you for your review of "Milkway drive". The song is classified "Unique - Soundtrack" and is part of my compositions for movies and multi-media I'm writing. It's also the overtoure of a project about transhumance that I will publish in the next few months.
Thanks for the review of "Washing Machine Music". As you spotted it was a bit of fun around the noises that the washing machine makes. Surprisingly popular at the time though
Just reviewed a tune of yours my brother. Loved it. Grat Michael Buble' style and vocal tone. "Baby that's How I know" All the best my talent friend.
Roger I have been wanting to tell you that one of your songs Highlander is one of my all time favorite songs.... I am one very glad person you did that song. I am a friend in music.... Delta
Hi Delta! Sorry I have been away for a while. Thanks for your gracious comments and support my friend. Highlander is a story song that still resonates with certain audiences. There was some talk about making a short film of it. I hope this finds you well and happy. Great connecting with you here!
I would be the first in line for that movie...my first love is Celtic music and this song is on the very top of favorite BJ music.... the hair on my arms still raise every time I hear your song.... so very well done.... last year I spent a month in the highlands of Scotland ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ³ó £ó ´ó ¿ they are nothing like what we have here... as we were driving in the middle of nowhere we thought there was a statute of a majestic stag until it moved, nothing around but mountains and heather an experience of a life time. I feel my husband and I were blessed. Thanks for getting back to me I am your friend in music..... Delta

Reminds me so much of Peter, Paul and Mary! Wonderful music! Thanks for it! And that flute! Oh! Sweet!
hey! looks like part of zz top band there--cheers--joe.
Thank you darlin' for the very gracious review of The Highlander. Not many younger listeners really get the story context of our Celtic traditions. The words and music can be found at www,mbhmusic.com Click on New CD and you will find Marshall, Bolt & Harr (Waitn' for the Reaper) and the Woodbine CD; this is the project from 1998 that has the Highl;and info...also Hooligan's Dream is a very haunting Celtic song placed in a movie from Spain called Thread of Glass. I wish you the very in all your musical efforts best Bonnie Lassie. Roger Bolt
dear Roger thank you for sending me a note, I love a good story and that is also how I sing. Right now I only have one song on broadjam and it is called "Who is a Scot" it was a poem I had to have put to music. My cd is "Children of the Mist" and a preview can be found on "cd baby" You tube has "The Selkie" under Delta Burnett Reed I hope to have more music up soon on Broadjam and if you get a chance to listen you might like it. I do love being a celt The pull of scotland has been with since I was a wee bairn.....My best regards Delta
Thanks for the gracious review of the Highlander. It's being considered for a short film in Spain at thee moment. It is a story song in the truest of Celtic traditions but the only woodwind instrument is a silver flute. The fret-less base can sound a bit like a horn but we liked the liquid tones it imparted in 1998 when the CD was released. Presently we play the Cal North Bay as Marshall, Bolt & Harr with original Americana, blues, swing and Celtic. www.mbhmusic.com All the very best in your musical career and Happy Trails to youoooooooo!

Thank you for your review of Hooligan's Dream. It is a true story about an old IRA gun runner and the moments before his actual suicide. I wrote the lyrics based on a line from the mandolin player who knew this old Irishman. It was recorded live with imperfections with intention. This song is in a Spanish film called Hilo De Cristal, Gial Producciones. Best of luck in your musical efforts. www.mbhmusic.com

Thanks for the gracious compliment. Together AS One was written by Joanna Noble many years ago as a wedding song for her fathers second wife. We continue to get feedback many years latter on this sensitive romantic song. Thanks again and all the very best to your music career.
Yes, thanks for the connection and the track - we're neighbors - (i'm in SF) - love the low voice on songs like, "It's Cold in California" (and damn, yes, it was cold this year!). I'm a country girl at heart...
