Lay It Down is crazy cool.
thanks so much!
Really like your music looked forward to listening to more.
Thanks so much Randy.
Hi Mark, Thank you for the kind comment!
You bet. I like your music and I can see where it will be a good fit for the Tinderbox shows. Best of luck Chris!
Thanks for the love on "Let's Play!" Really appreciate it!
You betcha. I think that song has some commercial value. Definitely want to submit it to some listings.
Hello, I'm new here., any info., or suggestions on how to get the most out of this web-site would be greatly appreciated. Thanks very much. Steve
Steve, good to see you on Broadjam. I happen to know Roy the owner. He's gone to bat for me a couple of times. Still working on getting my first placement. Roy says it's just a matter of time.
Hey Mark, Thanks for the uplifting words, & note. Who's Roy.? is he the owner of BroadJam..? Thanks man.
Yes, Roy Elkins, owner and founder of Broadjam. Lives in Madison WI. I'm located just outside of Madison and I got to know Roy through our local NSAI chapter. Great guy with a great vision.
Hey Mark.. rite on.. cool my man.. Thanks again..
thanks for your review and suggestions
You are welcome. Keep on believing...you are a songwriter. And study the craft!
Hello Mark - thank you for your support for the track, Smile. Paul Messina is a brilliant contributor to that production.
Peter - keep us posted if it gets a placement.
Will Do. . .
thank you for the provider notice. time will only tell when an opportunity comes calling and where it might lead. currently listening to "I Feel Like I Want To Go Home". Julia is spot on, what a tender song, message coupled with a stellar performance.
Well thank you Peter, that's very kind of you.
will wonders never cease - out of 179 songs listened to, the opportunity provider chose one - 'Smile'. just got the paperwork and will study over the weekend. the provider's only request was to eliminate the alarm clock bell in the opening. here's the track with Paul Messina performing the sax section and solos. http://www.broadjam.com/artists/songs.php?artistID=78064&mediaID=611961 1
Congrats Peter!! Great track!! All the best, Frank
Nice work Peter; congratulations!
THX Frank. THX C.C.> still have to read thru all the paperwork. and, have to admit I am pleased.
I saw this when the song was selected, congrats man! Nice track for sure. Let us know if and when it gets placed.
Dang your recordings sound great! Mastered super hot, I love it!
Congrats on your latest news" I feel like I want to go home"... Love that one!!:))
Thanks Julia! Btw, I reworked the strings, made a bunch of little tweaks, and remixed it. Might be worth a new listen. I'm really happy with the results. Hopefully I can get it placed in something now. I see it as a song that would work in the part of a film where the hero is about to give up because things are just a little too tough. The part just before inspiration strikes and he makes the final push to overcome his nemesis.
Check out my new songs from the latest EP The Ghost.
I'm not seeing The Ghost in your song list. I see it's being considered for a film listing that I also submitted to.
Thanks - it shows up under Add/Edit My Songs, but not the View My Songs...weird. Uploaded again. Thanks!!
Yup, now it's there. Damn that's one beautiful song. Can I ask what you're using for the cello?
A real cello
Thank you for the compliment!
I thought it was real, but string VIs are so realistic these days I didn't want to assume. This is such a great song, and I can so hear it on TV or in a film, but I wonder if possibly a shorter version might get you more placements. And in a shorter version you could ramp up a little faster, as it does in the end, and maybe have more time when the song is fully ramped up. I feel like you could milk the fully ramped up part a bit more. Anyhow, just a suggestion, and again, this is one beautiful song. I love it!
Hi! " look in my heart" and " I feel like I want to go home " love them!!:) The vocals are so unique, very cool!! Gave me a Stephen Bishop vibe, vocals and style:)). Great lyrics and your songs are classic sounding!! Breath of fresh air for a change:)) blessings.... Julia
Also love the spiritual messages!!:)) thank you!!!
Thank you so much Julia. I appreciate your nice comments.
Just heard Love Like Glass and love it. That you singing?
Thanks Mark... I much appreciate the kind words about Love Like Glass... I WISH that was me singing... I do all my own rough demos, but I work with a studio in Nashville and I choose from 5-6 different singers depending on the song... I write lyrics and create the melodies... I haven't had time yet, but I'll get over to your home page and have a listen to your music ASAP... Thanks again...
Music production is excellent. Love your voice. It has a beautiful timbre and you certainly have great control. Particularly fond of "Who You Are."
Just starting to listen to your songs and they sound great! Your production is top-notch. Are you doing your own productions? - Mark
'last day' - right up there with anything Randy Newman would write for a touching movie scene. very effective storytelling.
PGO, thanks for the nice comments. I've been compared to Randy before. BTW, I love your song Damn Dog. It brought back to mind a phrase from my youth, "in the barrel with ya."
this guy should write a stage musical
Others tell me that too. :D
Love your music
Dan, thanks for the nice comment!
Roy, I was looking forward to the seminar with Sarah Gavigan last night but somehow I never received the link to it. Maybe I misunderstood what it was, but the link that was sent in the email about the seminar went to the video that I think was sent to us a couple of weeks ago when you first introduced Sarah to the Broadjam community. - Mark
Hey Mark, It was a good web seminar with Sarah. She is on top of her game. I have posted the discussion with her on my profile. Here is a link: http://www.broadjam.com/artists/songs.php?artistID=207 1 Let me know what you think. Best, Roy
Sweet, thanks Roy. And Sarah did send me the link to the archive of the seminar. What an amazing thing you're doing by presenting her to the Broadjam community. Thanks so much! - Mark P.S. I'm a local guy out of Fort Atkinson. Hoping to stop by your office later this summer. Would you be OK with me doing a video of my visit?
I see you've got Push Restart up. Really love it. - Mark
Yep, planning to submit it to: http://www.broadjam.com/delivery/index.php?contest_id=4657&npop=1&utm_source=iContact&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=ContestID_4657&utm_content=Licensing+Opportunity+-+Contest+ID+4657 1
That could be a nice payday. I haven't seen the reference movie but I'm pullin' for ya.
Mark, Love Doing a Flyby, which puts you on my radar. Sending you a Friend request as the Unique must stick together. - Nick
Thanks Nick. I just posted a new version yesterday. Needs work but I just got my home studio up and running and also working with a new DAW, so I'm OK with where the song is at. - Mark
are you guys bankrupt? because i'm getting no support e-mails and i have a song that's been uploading supposedly for an entire day
Gem, I hope not, we've been in business 12 years. I will ask our cust service to contact you and get this resolved....Roy
I submitted a question to customer service last Thursday and have yet to get a response. Wish you still did phone support.
Gemxwaveinc - We were doing some maintenance on our song encoder over the weekend, which caused some delays in the activation process. The maintenance has been completed and the queue is moving along smoothly. Also, we noticed that your song, "YMA," is near the top and should be activated soon. We appreciate your patience.
Oakhill - When you have a free moment, please let us know what your question is and we'll be more than happy to help. Thank you for taking the time.
How would you like me to contact you? Not sure that commenting here is the correct means.
thank you, sorry for being impatient but when you have no clue, you go nuts
Oakhill - When you have a free moment, please email us at customerservice@broadjam.com and we'll be more than happy to help. Thank you for taking the time.
Gemxwaveinc - Thank you again for your patience and thank you for being a part of Broadjam. Have a great day.
"I Will Find You" sounds great! nice low strings in there, too.
Thank you Patty!
Patty - My ears feel better after some much needed time away from the headphones. Took your advice about getting out and played 2 rounds of Frisbee golf yesterday. It was a beautiful day here in Wisconsin. Going to take a break from the writing and recording for a week or so to focus on some Web site designing work that I do. I suppose I might try to improve the vocal track on "I See the Light Shining in You" if I get a chance. Some of it is quite good, but some a little weak. I had a friend listen to your "The Weight We Carry" piece because I wanted him to hear what the high-end quality stuff on Broadjam sounds like. I told him that each sound is like a succulent piece of fruit. I suppose that description is a little odd, but you get such a full and rich sound. - Mark
thanks for checking out the tracks - i know what u mean about the headphones ears frying.. not so good. time for some trees and the whistling of birds?
Patty, I sure love your music. I'll listen to more tomorrow. My ears are so blummin' sore from having headphones on. - Mark
Great to connect - happy to hear the new mix you mentioned for "Every Thought is a Prayer" - beautiful piano on your "There For You" song - keep on keepin' on
Patty - Thanks for listening. Got side tracked on a new song that I started writing out of the blue last Sunday. Got it in reasonable shape and just uploaded it. Called "I See the Light Shining in You." I see you've been adding some new ones. I'll take a listen.
Patty, thanks for connecting. I see you downloaded my freebie "Every Thought is a Prayer." I plan to rearrange and re-record it over the next few weeks. I can let you know when the new version is up. - Mark
