Thank you for the kind review of my song "Ten Years Ago Today" Katie!! Cheers! Cam
Your welcome! Great song!
Thank You for the review! I really appreciate it. I am kind of a newbie songwriter, so I am always looking for tips! Thanks Again!
Hey Rhone. I think you and I have spoken on the phone before. Thanks for review of my song Ten Years Ago Today. I'm also pretty dialed into Music Row as I'm there every other month and have about 1/2 dozen songs published now, so I think I know a little about Nashville too. The score you gave my song was by far the lowest score that song has received in a year and a half and eleven reviews. In fact, its average score was 46.1 and it was #4 in the overall Broadjam country charts until your review. Not to say that your not entitled to your opinion, but I have to disagree with you about lyrics being more important than melody. You've got it backwards. Melody grabs the listener, lyrics keep their interest. I've got plenty of songs in my catalog with GREAT lyrics (thanks mostly to my regular co-writer) but none of them so far have scored higher with listeners than this song. I'll agree that the lyrics are not world-class on this song, but it has heartfelt emotion that resonates with listeners, and I think that's more important to a country song than just about anything else.
Sounds like we all got the same review. The "dialed in" part anyways. I lived in Nashville for six years and hosted a TV show called "Writers Night". I hung out with Grammy winning producers and award winning writers. Granted, that was in the early 80's, but I've still got a few phone numbers that I'm "dialed into" also!
Thanks for the review of my song. I can see that you're "dialed into Music Row" and that you have a keen insight for that "powerful lyrical content" that you felt my song lacked. I just listened to one of yours: "Red on my neck, gun in my rack , hey, hey, hmm, hmmm." With all due respect, you need to take hard look at your self and your own work. This is not a slam b/c of your review, but people like you need to realize a grading system when you give a song less than 50%. That's ridiculous, especially from just another novice.
Well Said!
Just took a listen to Stone Country. He's got a point Rhone!
5/16/11 - My song Calico Sundown (co-written with Robert George) was signed to Next Number One music two weeks ago and has just placed 1st in the NDS Song Contest!
Big congrats, Cam!
Congratulations to you! Steve
Yo Cameron, Thanks for your thorough review of On & On & On. I appreciate your honest comments. I was trying out a new mic rig on that one and the rest of the band was , of course, somewhere else, hopefully making some dough. I just listened to "Keep It Off the Map" superb. Keep up the great work. Thanks again, JD Carroll
Hi Cameron Earnshaw, I'm feeling a bit embarrased about a review I just completed on your profile "10 years ago today, where I gave you a perfect score. Now I know where I heard the song. but in my defense, to me, yours is household name your song should be on the radio where I thought I heard it, and be in the top ten country charts right now, as I'm sure it will be and soon. Have a good day and lots of luck. Pete. I need some coffee.
Great job on this one Cam and Robert!

Hi Cameron, thanks for your review. You've given me some things to thik about. I agree with the choir idea, that the way I hear it too, just didn't have a choir. All the best in your endeavors. Valerie
Hey Joe, Thanks for the review of my song "This Time". I wrote it a couple years ago and it's always been one of my favorites of those I've written. Not everybody "gets" traditional country these days, so thanks. Cameron Earnshaw
Hey Cam
