.......while I do indeed, enjoy brevity......what?
I just heard your tunes for the first time. You are awesome! scott
Hey Nina, We connected a long time ago. I wanted to do some songwriting collaboration with you. I have been in the emotional state of retirement for a couple of years. Things finally came to a head and I retired. I'm doing things on the Protools artist community and I thought I'd look up some Broadjamians. It's great to hear all the emotion that you convey in your works. If you'd like to try doing something together let me know. Scott
Hi Diana. I haven't been in touch for a long time. I hope this msg finds you well. I listened to the Raindrops tune. You write incredible lyrics. Everybody has some personal story that coincides with your imagery. I haven't been doing much the last couple of years due to job related stress. I cured that problem...I'm retired as of this month. So... I'll be touching base as I ease into my new life. God Bless you Diana. Scott
Congratulations my friend! I have taken some time off too. I haven't recorded in about a year now. Still doing my blog and leading the Worship team at Church. Maybe this summer we can write a new one :) I always have lyrics, lol!
God bless you too!
Scott, very nice piano work on "I want to Show You" and well mixed - congratulations to Martin and you. Regards, Som
Yo Som...I listened to your tunes. I like the tune Closure. Your chanting style of singing works real well. It creates a hypnotic trance. Your delivery is convincing. Very effective. Scott
Thanks Scott :) - I'll have at it soon, with another vocals take on The Mad Roller based on the structure for LVOX that you have suggested, and hope that will come out also up to your standards and liking Som
cool
Thanks danawhite Cheers, Som
Hey, BJ started putting artists who are in the same area on my site when I logged in. It says you're in Ypsi. I'm in Ypsi too so I listened to your stuff. I have a pretty good project studio in my basement. If you have the time check out my site: creativeurgeproductions.com I've got all kinds of tunes on it. The only thing I won't do is lewd or dirty music. I'm open to anything else. I think we could do some interesting things. Let me know if you're up for it. Scott

Hey Peter, i grew up on the eastside of detroit. 6mile & gratiot. i'm in ypsilanti in the country now. i like your tune very much. i'd like to do an orchestral treatment of it. would that be ok with you? let me know. i have a tune on my site titled Psalm 139. i did a treatment of that alt folk tune quite a while ago. the writer/performer only had an mp3 so i couldn't separate the vox from the production. my chops are growing daily at the whole process and i'd really like to see what i can do with your tune. please let me know. Scott
THX, Scott. Floris Bekker is currently working on orchestration for "Say Goodbye" but perhaps there is another song in my catalog that would interest you. And, I really do appreciate you offering.
send me something.
hey Scott: gonna look thru my song catalog this weekend and pick something for you to work with - pgo
Remixers wanted for our latest track "Cat Fight." Check out the track and let us know if you're interested in remixing a great alternative for a spot on the upcoming single. Best: N
Sounds like a challenge. I'm in. :)
i'll send you an invite to the dropbox.
i would like to check it out scott
Scott... Shoot me your email and i'll send you a drop box invite.
what's an email that i can send a dropbox link to?
Hey, Scott! You can use jantony@jantony.com I included this email at the end of my previous comment. I can also setup an FTP link for you too (similar to your drop box). Whichever works best is cool with me! Let's make some music! Peace, Tony
Hey Scott, Thanks very much for the message! Quite an impressive "resume" you have! I grew up in Detroit as well and am familiar with Marcus Belgrave, Doc Holiday, and Chapter 8. I'm not sure if Anita Baker was on the first Chapter 8 album, but I believe so. In any event, would love to collaborate with you! In fact, I'm ramping up for many musical projects kicking off in September which will include Jazz, R&B, and Pop. My current home studio setup includes Cakewalk Sonar X1 & Sonar 8.5/8, Cubase 5, Nuendo 4.3, Wavelab 6 & 7, Native Instruments Komplete 6 & 7, Waves Platinum Bundle, East/West Quantum Goliath, Sony Soundforge 9 & 10, Sony Acid, Mojo Horn Section, Kick Ass Brass, and much more. So, please feel free to email at jantony@jantony.com and let's put a schedule together! Thanks again! Peace, Tony
Yo Jantony, I've got the mojo, east/west composers bundle, waves cla sig collection, bdf2+, a uad2 duo card with an ssl e channel signal chain with a g buss compressor, a fairchild, la2a,la3a,1176ln, and ozone 4 all run through protools. I use Dropbox to send large files for free. i'll send you a link to it. you start off with 2gb capacity for free. it makes sending 24bit wav files very easy. got to go right now but i'll get back with you soon. scott
Hey Jantony, My name is Scott Guthre. I grew up in Detroit. I played jazz (trumpet) with several people from Oakland University with Doc Holiday. Marcus Belgrave was my mentor. I got him out to Oakland as an adjunct professor. I postponed my jazz involvement and joined an R&B group called Chapter 8. I was on the 1st album back in 79' I'm a music teacher in Dearborn and live in Ypsilanti. I've got a ProTools setup at my house and at work. I'm starting to get my engineer chops together but I want to do a contemporary jazz thing. I like your playing. Would you consider tossing some 24bit wav files back and forth and see what we can come up with. Let me know. Scott
yo sam, i just did another mx on "if it's not one thing" simple background vocals could go on this tune mostly harmonizing with the lead vocal. If there is anything you want to work on I'll send you a broadjam download link. Let me know. scott
Hey Matt...I'll put some time in on Prodigal Kind w/vocals. Please send me an mp3 that I can download to slguthredps@comcast.net I love your tunes. You're really talented. God Bless Scott
by the way the exact tempo would be real nice if you know it
Hey Ron, I'm Scott. Thank you for your positive review of "I's Outta Here" It was done for a movie trailer just as you commented. I like your Christian statements in your bio. I'm on board with Jesus too. I'm practicing to be a trumpet player in Gabriels Heavenly band. Check out SM&A on my site if you like Christian stuff.
hey thanks for stoppin by will stop by to check u out k Peace ("
Hi again, It isn't up there yet. It's pending.... Scott
Yo Roy, I'm starting to get some tunes in your top 10 lists. They are clearly in the correct genre. I have a song that needs a genre. I don't know exactly what it is. Could you give me a little input please? The tune is I Want to Live Today MX5.2. It's on my site here--> http://creativeurgeproductions.com/home I labeled it Pop Rock but is it just Pop just rock or Easy listening? I can't pin it down. Thank you for your time with this. Scott
SL, I would probably classify this as Pop. It has classic pop progression and melody. The horns do add a latin feel to it, but I think it's pop/rock.....Roy
thanks
