Independent Songwriter/Singer, Chris Ford, got his start in music much later than most. By the time he started recording his first music, he was already a small business owner, family man, and father of two boys in middle school. He had lived and worked in multiple states, as well as internationally, and these experiences helped shape his lyric and music style, as well as the idea for "The SuBourbon Blues Project". While his music is strongly anchored in the Blues, it is not "pure" to any particular style (Delta, Chicago, Jump, etc.), but instead reflects a style born in the passion for the Blues, and nurtured in the experiences of one who's life took a different path than the traditional influences of many Blues artists.

Excited to announce that my 2nd album, "Blues On The Edge" will be released in January!

This upcoming 2nd album is produced by world class producer, engineer, and guitar player Johnny Garcia, and he has helped me grow tremendously as an artist and performer. - In the meantime, you can check out the new tracks on my Broadjam page!

Chris Ford BIO

I am Chris Ford; a Nashville based small business owner by day, and a songwriter/singer by night (or any other time I can steal some time).

My "band" name, The SuBourbon Blues Project, was born from my passion for the Blues, and it's influence in Country, Outlaw Country, and Southern Rock, with a different twist. - I am the only "full time" member of the band, and I enjoy bringing amazing musicians in to record and lend their talents to my art.

My songs are available for commercial play opportunities (TV, Film, Advertising, etc.) or for recording/touring artists to consider recording for their own albums.

Hello,
I've been listening to your track "Every Time You Cry" on Broadjam, really solid work. You've got a strong sound with clear potential beyond just streaming.

A lot of great artists get overlooked not because of talent, but because their music isn't positioned the way industry decision-makers expect. I help artists turn their catalog into sync-ready, industry-aligned assets, with professional visuals and branding that improve discovery, pitching potential, and overall presence.

This helps with:
• Sync and licensing opportunities
• Stronger audience growth and engagement
• A more polished, competitive artist profile

Quick question, are you currently focused on landing placements, growing your audience, or both?

If you're open to a quick, no-pressure chat, I'd love to explore how we can elevate your positioning.

My take on the Blues:
The Blues is not background music. The Blues is not dance music. The Blues is not "in" the moment, because the Blues IS the moment. When the Blues is playing, the true fan isn't interested in conversation. The fan wants to get lost in the music; hearing and feeling every word, every note, and every beat of passion.

2 NEW SONGS! - My 12 song project is taking longer than planned, but it's a blessing in disguise as I found a new studio and sound engineer to work with who is doing much better things with the mix and mastering. - Will be having them remaster the old ones as well. - Posted 2 new songs today, "Where Concrete Meets the Grass" and "You're Crazy But I Love You". Hope y'all like.
