Described as a "seasoned newcomer", independent songwriter/singer, Chris Ford, expresses his love of the Blues and life through his alter ego, "The SuBourbon Blues Project", with a grass roots, often gritty style of Blues/Blues Rock. By the time Chris started recording this first album, he was already a small business owner, family man, and father of two boys in middle school. He had lived and worked in multiple states as well as internationally, and these experiences helped shape his music and lyric style as well as the idea for "The SuBourbon Blues Project". His music reflects a style born in the passion for the Blues and nurtured in the experiences of one who's life has taken a different path than many Blues artists. This debut album, "Where Concrete Meets The Grass" is self produced through his brand/label, SuBourbon Blues in cooperation with a variety of talented musicians and engineers, and delivers to the listener a powerful music experience that generates the energy of a live performance with the clarity of a solid studio production. Released in January 2021, this debut album has made various weekly Roots Music Radio Top 50 Blues/Contemporary Blues Albums charts 11 times through September 2021.
