The Remainders
The Remainders prove that the best stories are worth the wait. After more than 20 years of "Rock'n Out and Doin' Good," this La Crosse, Wisconsin quintet released their debut album, Feel Something New, to streaming services worldwide in November 2024, followed by their latest single, "Destiny," in August 2025.
Led by former CEO, author, and business podcaster Andrew Temte on lead vocals and guitar, The Remainders have earned their stripes opening for rock legends including Styx, Foreigner, Heart, Steve Miller Band, Chicago, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and REO Speedwagon during the decade-long run of Freedom Fest in La Crosse.
Feel Something New is a father-son collaboration between Andy and his business partner and son, Nick Temte, who produced and engineered every track. The album's songs span decades--some tell Andy's story from the mid-1980s, when he realized there was another path beyond the grind of touring small Midwest bars, while others tackle modern day triumphs and challenges. Together, they chronicle his search for mentors, meaning, and light--a journey from darkness that led him to the love of his life just weeks later and, ultimately, to the band and life he leads today.
Their latest single, "Destiny," captures the band's evolution--a dynamic rock tune about mature love and the art of noticing the small, endearing moments that keep relationships alive. Born from Andy's classic rock roots, the track blends gritty electric guitars and driving bass lines with sweeping synth sounds and backing vocals.
Andy is joined by bandmates Ed Overholt, Steve Duff, Josh Shively, and Johnny Nielsen--a brotherhood forged over two decades of making music together. They deliver a powerful blend of original music and covers from classic rock icons--Styx, Kansas, Tom Petty, Foo Fighters, REO Speedwagon, Train, and Rush.
The Remainders exist to spread joy through music in a truly symbiotic relationship with their audiences--giving and receiving energy in equal measure. They demonstrate that creativity and musical excellence belong to every stage of life. Their message is both simple and essential: keep moving forward, invest in yourself, and never stop pursuing your dreams.
Be good to yourself. Do good for others.
