Story Behind The Song
From the CD "Slim and the Fatcats - LIve", recorded in 2002 during a live televison performance on station WYOU in Madison, WI.
Song Description
Written for the now defunct blues band "Slim and the Fatcats" in 2002. I always liked this song, and though I never got into the studio to record it, I decided to put this live version on Broadjam.

Lyrics
I had a good love, she was alright
She gave me comfort, kept me from long lonely nights
But I was foolish, didn't know I had something good, oh something good
So she left me, 'cause I took her for granted see
I did not give back the love she so easily had for me
Now it's too late to win her back, but I would if I could, oh if I could
So I can't be angry
No I can't be sad,
But I gotta' say that it hurts me so bad
That was the bestest, oh the bestest I ever had
