you know I've wandered aimlessly in this enchanted place
but something in the atmosphere is calling out my name
it seems the evidence is clear: I'll never be the same

did you really know my name before this life began
and can you help me navigate and sometimes hold my hand
there've been far too many footsteps leading down this same old road
and can you tell me what I need to know

to unchain my heart

throw away the lock and key and leave the open door
fill this empty space with grace
and leave me wanting more and more

I'm falling in your gravity and glowing in your sun
I've lived a stolen lifetime but with you I've just begun
I've felt these senses pulling all my years to guide my days
to trust this inner compass tuned
to your majestic ways

but looking through your eyes I see
the mess that I've become
I want to look away and just forget all that I've done
but the beautiful poetry that you came down as man
will take these chains and free my soul again
