Story Behind The Song
My book, Especially Yours" which is soon to be published and released tells the journey of raising our autistic son, and suddenly becoming disabled in both of my hands. Depression, anxiety and hopelessness was bringing me towards the end of my life when I realized I was being called to my purpose..to sing!
God had heard my secret prayers and I found the courage to launch my career in music. "DisAbility" is the anthem I wrote and recorded for all of those who were either born with, or have become disabled to tell the world that you are often found to be stronger in your weaknesses. There is a very encouraging message in the lyrics.

Lyrics
Verse
As i step out the door each day
I look around, take a breath and say
To myself "you can do it, let's go"
Show the world I'm okay, just slower
Chorus
But I can't hide this smile on my face
People just can't see
I got a new life and I'm gonna live it
With my disAbility
Verse
Many years i begged for a way
My life would change, "I wanna sing", I prayed
Got what I bargained for and more
As they say be careful what you wish for
Chorus
But I can't hide this smile on my face
People just can't see
I got a new life and I'm gonna live it
With my disAbility
Bridge/Vamp (Rudy lead)
No sympathy
No pity
No poor baby
Just Ability (repeat 2x)
Musical Interlude
Verse
There are those who will understand
Their lives have changed with physical demands
Through the pain there is gain for real
New strength that is found helps us heal
Chorus
But I can't hide this smile on my face
People just can't see
I got a new life and I'm gonna live it
With my disAbility
Bridge/Vamp ---> Chorus---->Adlib out....
