Story Behind The Song

The story....I was sitting at the pool in St. Simons Island, GA. I was thinking about that movie, The Matrix. How they were always looking for "The One". They would say, "are you the 'One'?" It was like everybody was looking for the "One". Spiritually, it seems we all do that constant search for the One. So I begin to tap my can on the table, tapping out 1,2,3,4 & 1,2,3,4,..........and it came, "He is the one, the one for me, who can be against us? Jesus & Me" About that time, a woman walked up and sat down, asking if I was writing a song. I tried to be kind, saying, "well, yes, I WAS." She sat down, I sang the hook, and she was sold. Kids love the song. They sing a back-up part and really think they are Rockers!
