Story Behind The Song
composer John Ludwig had a vision of exuberant church praise music. He wondered why no church songs were just plain fun and had singalong sha la la parts - and did something about filling that void
Song Description
Featuring the triumphant trumpet work of 2-time Grammy winner David Longoria (solo start at 2:36), this song by Out of the Whirlwind is a fun explosion of praising the Creator. The chorus mentions praise in the morning, evening and all day long, almost daring the listener not to. It has an old-school vibe that still lands today because, frankly no one else is doing anything like this. Out of the Whirlwind is a multi-Grammy considered band on the southside of Chicago. The extended version of Sing Praise is the opening track on their second album More Whirl, featuring a rap break and piano solo.

Lyrics
Verse 1
Sometimes it's easy to forget who you are
Lord it seems the distance is too far
But there's a way to put it back right
Raise your voice, connect with His might
CHORUS 1
Sing praise...........in the morning
Sing praise...........in the evening
Sing praise...........from your heart
sing (sha la la la la la la la la) 3x sha la la la la
Verse 2
Are you caught in a storm without protection?
Drifting along without any direction
The time has come, no need to wait
Here's a path that's true and straight
CHORUS 2
Sing praise...........in the morning
Sing praise...........from your heart
Sing all....day long, sing all day long,
sing (sha la la la la la la la la) 3x sha la la la la
