Story Behind The Song
After my son Jamie died, I had the strange occurrence of butterflies coming to visit me frequently. I have always loved butterflies but never before had them flutter around my head, land on me and not leave me alone, like they did at this time.
It was comforting to me and felt like a sign from my son. I've always been a pretty deep person, but for once in my life I felt like I truly knew these butterflies were a comforting sign from my precious boy. It just happened too frequently for it to be a coincidence. They gave me faith; faith that there was more going on to this story that meets the eye. It gave me faith that he still existed.
Due to the spiritual nature of this occurrence, it helped me to connect to a deeper part of myself that knew that everything would eventually work out in my life.
