Lyrics
First, the Farmer built the Scarecrow "Not",
And set him in a field to rot; the Farmer built the Scarecrow Not;
Now the Scarecrow Not, couldn't scare crows at all
From his fir pole so tall,
And the Crickets would say, "What a strange, strange way
To Spend a Grinnin' Day!"
Then there came Bold Sam
Eating Greenleaf...
Jam, ...was a bold Crow, Sam,
Said, "Do you know who I am?"
"Jam!" said the Bold Crow Sam;
Now, the Bold Crow Sam liked scarecrows,
And hit the spot with Not.
Now, they dance together,
On a field of heather;
Now, they dance together
Flinging corn silk at the moon!
Come, let's see if we find them,
We, we might shine then...
Dance with them: one, two, three!
Dance, but let them be!
Dance with them, then you'll see,
Then you'll see!
Come let's dance: dance together!
Dance with them on the field of heather
But let them be!
Then you'll see!
