Story Behind The Song
We were asked to write about conservation to respond to an art exhibition that explored the sustainable use of wood, particularly in the making of musicals instruments, a tricky one for guitarists.
Song Description
This was a subject matter which I probably would have not tackled without the special request & which IÃ?Â?m pleased to have done. We have only one home, this planet & as far as we can tell only live one life. Handle with care. (KM June 2006)

Lyrics
CELEBRATE THE WORLD
The harvest is so great from good mother earth
Now the time has come to respect her worth
People have to slow down, limit the waste
Collect what we need, but always try to replace.
And celebrate the world
There are lessons still to learn
Conserve the lands
Don't pollute the waters
They'll be kind to us in return.
Rivers hold their life long as we don't make them die
Forests and fields won't yield an endless supply
Man must share this planet, not dominate
Live in harmony, before it gets too late.
And celebrate the world
There are lessons still to learn
Conserve the lands
Don't pollute the waters
They'll be kind to us in return.
Care, replenish
Don't poison, foul or damage
Care, replenish
Don't poison, foul or damage.
So much has been lost, so much has disappeared
Even during our own short lifetime here
Without nature's gifts we would cease to be
With acceptance of them all, comes responsibility.
So celebrate the world
There are lessons still to learn
Conserve the lands
Don't pollute the waters
They'll be kind to us in return.
Celebrate the world
Celebrate the world
Celebrate the world.
