Story Behind The Song
Most times when I (Deanna) write, my melody and words come together. In Jessica's case however, the melody was something that kept goin' round in my head one nice in an effort to keep out the annoying whine of my friends younger sister who always complained about her relationship. Once I added the lyrics I realized I was also talking about a relationship and named the song after the girl who inspired the melody, JESSICA.

																Lyrics

									What it does to you
What it does to me
What it does to everyone
Nobody is exempt from this game
The feelings still remain
Long after I have tried to drown my pain
Why is it we always hope for things to change
When will we learn to except the truth
And find a way
To move on
How are you to know if I fail to show
All of the emotions that have Overcome me
You have Overcome me
And even if you knew
What good would that do
Time has come to prove
We can't give each other what we need
Why is it we always hope for things to change
When will we learn to except the truth
And find a way
To move on
Why is it we always hope for things to change
When will we learn to except the truth
And find a way
To move on
