I Want You was actually the oldest song written on the album. It was during a time where I (Deanna) was dating someone and he would talk to me when he thought I was sleeping. I asked the guy once if he wanted to hear the song I wrote for him and he said, "No, I don't want to hear any Alanis type shit." Ha, that's when I started performing the song out live.
