Story Behind The Song
Props to my anonymous backing band. The length of the piece is exactly what I recorded and the length in terms of measures and timing ended up spot on. When I went to sync them with my ReDrum program they were barely out a ms/measure. Just a matter of identifying the "one" every couple of measures or so and we were in. Amazing really.
I think I had to go down a half step to tune with the piper and his noodling just kinda hangs over the riff I came up with.
I'd like to try more of this just because it forces me out of how I would approach the drumming and that informs how I would approach the rest of the instrumentation.
Song Description
Working title. Couple of minutes of wild recording in the park. Recorded some percussion players in the park and there happened to be a bagpipe player tuning up in the background.
Plugged that into Protools and played a groove over it. Off the cuff sort of thing.

Lyrics
Could probably use some chant-like lyrics, in the vein of Police, Voices, where the same two lines get repeated. Haven't come up with anything yet.
