Story Behind The Song
I got the inspiration for this song one night when I was driving home (probably too fast ) from a concert I had attended in Texas. I had a bunch of lyrical ideas for it but I knew I was stealing the melody from a song I had just heard performed earlier that night. Jessi Lynn and I had just gotten back from our Texas tour and were planning some co-writes so I sent her an email with a rough lyric in hopes that she could come up with a different melody. She sent me back an email with her idea and I LOVED it. Totally rocked. We emailed back and forth from Houston to Atlanta a few times to lock in the lyric and tweake the melody but it all fell out pretty dang easily, I guess because of how well the topic fit us. We'd both had our fair share of rumors spread around about us in the music community. I guess this was just our way of stickin' it to the man!

Lyrics
I've been accused of drivin' way too fast
I've been accused of standin' too close to a man who wasn't mine
It's been said that I am unstable,
Relentless, crazy, unable to back down in a fight
Well they might be right
They ain't got no proof
Oh, but I... I've been accused
I've been accused of takin' more than I can handle
I've been accused of lightin' both ends of the candle just to watch it burn
It's been said that I drink too much
I talk too dirty and I play a little too rough, and can't wait my turn
And I never learn
CHORUS
Now, I can choke on those rumors off your bitter tongue
Or laugh out loudĀ at everything they say I done ...Or didn't do
Who knows the truth? Yeah, who knows the truth
CHORUS
