Story Behind The Song
I wrote this song after working in a band with some much younger guys who were all good musicians but had some fairly unrealistic ideas and notions about how the music industry works (not to mention some big egos as well).....needless to say that band imploded spectacularly. I wrote this song off the back of how I was feeling post implosion
Song Description
Musically the song is a late Beatles inspired pop song. Features rich coral harmonies, A mixture of traditional acoustic and electric instruments as well as some other more unusually sounds. The ending is very climatic with multiple instruments and choral /vocal parts happening

Lyrics
Another troubled frown
A different Point of view
At least from here I see for miles around
Too many locks and keys
Too many knocking knees
Leave you standing upside down
So put your best dress on (and where it all the time)
Tell you friends not to call (they can dot it online)
Leave a foot in every door (every door in your mind)
Leave the princes to the poor (and lemons to the limes)
Can you feel it Can you feel the sky come falling down
Put your head up in the clouds
And feet upon the ground
Can you feel it Can you feel the sky come falling down
Put your head up in the clouds
And feet upon the ground
Risks accounted for
There's still a grain of doubt
It wouldn't be the same with out it
So let you mind run loose
Among a chosen few
A cast of burlesque men and clowns
So put your best dress on (and where it all the time)
Tell you friends not to call (they can dot it online)
Leave a foot in every door (every door in your mind)
Leave the princes to the poor (and lemons to the limes)
Can you feel it Can you feel the sky come falling down
Put your head up in the clouds
And feet upon the ground
Can you feel it Can you feel the sky come falling down
Put your head up in the clouds
And feet upon the ground
Put you feet upon the ground
Da da da da
Can you feel the sky come falling down
Put your best dress on
