This song is original as it gets! Story of a young gal visiting an art fair, visits the booth of an artist named Joe and asks him if he can paint her happy. Wow. The story goes on telling of her heartbreak and the chorus brings forth her wish to be happy again...can he paint the happiness back into her face? The chorus is so poignant and engaging, really makes you sympathize with the girl in the song. The vocal is simple and childlike. Spoken word bridge is a thoughtful touch. I like the unpretentious piano accompaniment. Melody and lyrics are perfectly matched. Very memorable song! One not to forget!
