Story Behind The Song

This song came out of a season where the Lord was wanting me to become more like Him in an area of my life that I didn't realize had been a problem for years. Often, we tend to overlook the obvious in our lives that others may see. Being selfless sounds easy until you start to do it. You realize just how selfish you can be in your everyday life. As a Christian I made a choice to live for the Lord, not myself and that is what He was asking of me, not in word but in action also. To be like Christ requires you to act like Christ, to have His heart for others. That requires putting others before yourself and serving others in humility.
