Story Behind The Song
This song was first meant to be a tongue-in-cheek observation of that once-in-a-lifetime shared experience we all had recently (2020) that concerned a certain virus. As time rolled on, and the circumstance did NOT resolve, despite the world's best efforts, I re-considered how the song could be used to provide an optimistic perspective, of using the disruption to craft a better, more honest and useful way of seeing the world and living perhaps more purposefully.
Song Description
Suddenly it seems, the entire world's attention is focusing on this ONE thing. And this one thing is not like anything we've ever experienced in our lives? What the Hell!? How can that be? What can I do? How do I get around it, over it, through it? And now we're told it won't go away, even with all the world's superpowers throwing things at it. What the Hell?! Now, it's four years later and there still hasn't really been an "All Clear" signal so we're are still somewhat in its shadow. That's it! I am committing to finding out how to live with this, improve my circumstance in whatever way I can, help others learn from this and move on. And one more thing - I'm inviting a friend in to tell you how he sees it, just to make sure I haven't completely missed the mark. His telling is much more powerful than mine, but hey, now there are two of us - and we are moving on. So ... Are You Ready?
