Story Behind The Song
Memories and different people throughout my life influenced the hook in this song. very catchy, danceable, sing a long song for sure. Put the right artists on it and it could definitely be a hit. However, it all came to fruition after looking at the ever-growing number of shampoo and conditioners on my shower! Lather. Rinse. Repeat. And, I figured using "consumption" could be a cool "metaphor/euphemism" for that subject matter!
Song Description
A nasty synth bass drives "Lather.Rinse.Repeat." from beginning to end only to switch it up with a call and response-like progression. This is the perfect song for a company like "Coca-Cola, namely "Sprite", (or any beverage company that promotes a refreshing beverage, especially on a hot Summer day or after a bit of cardio) and they should bring back their "Urban Environment Campaign" with a series of shots between an intense basketball game/working out at the gym/running the right through a crowd, sweating profusely, and then everyone all meeting up on the court in an urban, adolescent-esque "Teach Me How to Dougie"-style synchronized dance routine. Beat only, of course. This is a great song for a comedy, namely the "party scene" where the main cast/ensemble is getting it on around the midpoint or perhaps at the first Plot Point. Think about "The Hangover" if they actually showed scenes of them partying! This song puts a lot of pictures and scenes in your head and could be utilizes in so many ways. Grooving, intensely enlightening, and powerful. Lastly, it definitely makes you want to dance and "party"!
