On the corner I fell into your smile and found myself drawn closer to an open place I'd long forgotten or at least kept out of view.
You brought with you a time before that I had lost but not let go of and something new I once pursued though never known but always longed for.

I stand upon the waters edge. The waves lap gently at my feet.
I pick up some pretty things from right on top but I wonder what's lying there just
beneath.
Will I reach deep down under or keep my head on high and surf across an empty
sky over Summer Seas?

Never was a blue so true nor I so tame with my defenses, unfolding lips and limbs and layers locked until your heart released me.
All at once I flew so easily without restraint a feather from a red tailed hawk had found its way back to the ground where we stood together.

Folded in between the tides and your embrace the morning sun upon my face no mystery in my eyes, the joy for you I could not hide.
