who Knew- very pretty song! it's nice when you rally stretch your voice out! Keep it up! It's awesome that you went to the ASCAP expo, what an experience...
Priscilla, thank you - ripped right out of my heart, it was...who knew? anyway, i checked out some of your songs and you've got a lot of talent! beautiful voice, and i think the arrangements are stellar, too! good luck to you on the songwriting road.
thanxs for the song review--my/TROPHY BLUES/song--cheers--joe.
Hi Ann, Thank you for the great review of "Say WE Will" But enough of that..... I went on your page and listened to six or seven of your works and was really quite surprised. Your natural ability or perhaps unwillingness to conform to standard rythmic cadence in your melodies is brilliant and quite refreshing. I normally don't bother to read lyrics however you have such a wry sense of lyrical content that it made me actually want to read the lyrics so to better understand the story. Great work in there. Thanks again...... kenney
Hi kenney, well, i'm humbled by your kind remarks and sentiment. and inspired to continue to post. it's all for fun. ann
Ann, In your profile you wrote "I know the craziness I create is not original" ehhhh I don't know about that. There are some very original ideas in your work. look forward to hearing more.. kenney
Hi Ann, thanks for the great review of Jerusalem, it's an old song but one that I'm still proud of. Thanks and good luck. John.
Hello Ann, Thank you for taking the time to review the Old Sew and Sew. I thought the review was unfair, but I do appreciate your effort. Sincerely, Mrs. Kate
Hi Ann. Thanks for the glowing review of my song " It ain't right " It's from a musical called "RUDI" that I've been writing for years and years. Nearly finished it though. Thanks again.
Ann, I just can't help myself. You are a tender voice, and this song draws one in like an errant lover. I am going to send you a connection request as I believe like minds should be connected.
thanks for the awesome review of Superman Lives! Ann
thanks for the review of "Still Wondering". Ann
thankyou for Superman Lives! "string for your chorus"? - nubie??
Take a listen to some of the productions in our top 3... Thats what I mean by adding strings.
Nubie: a person that is new to a job or new to a different field. Let me know when you want to have a production show down.
got a son in Sammamish - God's country up there. I'll keep a show down in serious mind. and will check out your stuff to become versed (relatively speaking) in string addition.
I listened and I like it! I can hear the added dimension to my stuff - awesome!
Yeah, I really wasn't trying to knock your material, 40/50 is a pretty good score when I'm comparing you to what I perceive as Platinum material. I'll try to not misspell words in future reviews to appear less "newbie." In the meantime... I bid you the best and am sure you'll do well in the live circuits. You have a beautiful voice.
thank you for your thoughtful review of "Bittersweet" - Ann
You're welcome Ann. Hope it helps. Scott.
i was born in kentucky--thanks for the review--just remember to have as much fun as possible at this music biz--that you can--peace===joe.
appreciate your review of Tears Don't Lie! Thanks Scott!
Really enjoyed it Ann. Like your vocals with just the acoustic guitar. Great combination, and probably makes for a fine live gig.
thanks for the thoughtful, constructive, and helpful review of "I Don't Play Well With Others". I pulled that one out of my hat at the end of a long recording session as I had just written it and felt playful - yes, it needs polishing work. appreciation for your comments and the best to you, Morning Fame! Ann
You are welcome, I listened to your other song "bittersweet" it is beautiful, I wish I had the chance to review that one so you would get a really high rate. You are talented, feel free to listen to our song as well. Regards
lots of feeling in bittersweet, for sure. "Blinded" has a a great grove. I'd like to hear more of your stuff when you have it posted.
Hi, We have new stuff please listen to it.
Hi there Ann, just wanted to thank you for your kind and detailed review of "Who Would've Thought".....it's actually just slide guitar on acoustic directly into the board doing the melody there (ala Ry Cooder). Early morning over here in Europe right now but after I've had a coffee or two I'll check out something of yours. Cool hat!
awesome technique! thanks for listening, Carl. Ann
Hey Ann, Welcome to B'jam! I want to thank you, wholeheartedly, for the 'sweet' review for Brooke and I on "April Feeling"......The 'trumpet' you refer to is actually a trombone.....I play very high....which is why I added trumpet to satisfy my trumpet playing buddies always complaining that I played higher than they did on the bone! Hey, check out Brooke singing "Christmas Feeling" (and many other classical, jazz and pop selections on our Broadjam page).... We also have 23 videos on youtube at 247hdjazz.........one with Brooke and I dueting on "Route 66" live in Hawaii..... I listened to your songs....I like them very much and your singing and guitar is very good! Where are you based? Ciao! Rich
I checked you guys out a bit further and really like what you do - inspirational. I live in Northern California and am just sticking my toe in the waters with Broadjam. Lots of fun and providing me some great feedback. thanks Rich! Ann
Would like to get to know you better! Hope that happens! We're in LA! Kind Regards!
I will be attending the ASCAP expo in April in Los Angeles for the first time, looking for knowledge, inspiration, and perhaps, new opportunities to further develop my musical skills and experiences. I appreciate your kind and warm welcome. From what I have read and heard on your website, you have earned the right to call yourself a successful musical artist! Thanks for the encouragement, Rich. Ann
Please keep me updated on when you'll be here and where you'll be..... The only area that I might consider myself successful, is proficiency/competency......creatin g good music and making money at it is a very tall order! Thanks for the kind words!
will do!
Hi Joe, so happy to read your review of "I Don't Play Well With Others". I thought that was my "hook"? You've definitely got a groove! Ann
Thank you. I love your style, you definately add some inovation to the folk genre.
Hi Ben, Thanks for having a listen to "I Don't Play Well With Others" - yes, a bit "floaty" on the vocals. You rock! I love what I hear from your webiste. Ann
Hi Ann! Thanks for the message! We should definitely keep in touch.. =) So did you do both guitar and vocals on "I don't play well with others"? take care! -Ben
Yes -yes, just me feeling my way through. the last song of the session. I had just written so thought I'd try it out, even though I was a bit tired. It turned out better than I thought it would for being so unrehearsed - maybe I was finally warmed up! needs work, as they all do, but appreciate your experienced consult. thx. ann
Thanks for the great feedback on "I Don't Play Well With Others". I will continue to work at it, and I appreciate your encouragement. Rock on! Ann
Thx Ann 4 ur review of My everything (On and ON)! Cheers!
Thanks for the constructive review! Song in key of C, with a change to D at the bridge - perhaps that's what seemed to "stick out a bit?" I tend to write songs that include a quirky chord change somewhere. Perhaps a smoother transition would allow the listener time to travel there with me? Appreciate your feedback. Ann
thanks for an encouraging and constructive first review! I've got volumes more to share and your feedback gives me the courage to hang it out there! Ann
