Story Behind The Song
This work is dedicated to my paternal ancestor, Iñigo Vélez de Guevara y Tassis, VII Count of Oñate, Basque Country.
Who was Viceroy of Naples, during the Spanish occupation,
and Spanish Ambassador to the Holy See in the middle ages.
But his most notable accomplishments was as a Diplomat negotiating the "Treaty of Westphalia" that ended the "Thirty Years War" in Central Europe in the middle ages.
He was a descendant of 8th Century Visigoth Nobleman, Count, Wigila Scemeniz aka "Vela Jiménez" in Spain.
A member of the Royal House of Jimena, Kingdom of Pamplona, Basque Country.
It is through this lineage that I am related by blood to His Majesty, King, Felipe VI of Imperial Spain, House of Borbón- Battenberg.
One of Queen, Victorias, House of Saxe-Coburg und Gotha aka House of Windsor grandchildren via the House of Battenberg aka "Mountbatten" after WWI.
Song Description
I wrote the main theme " March" of this concertino Opus 61 in the late 1970's.
During the decades I have slowly developed it giving it more form.
Someday, I plan to develop it into a formal Concerto Grosso or Oratorio Opus 61.
