Shanti started classical piano at age 5 and voice at age 7. She had her first of many recording offers at age 13 after winning and singing in the mayor’s talent show at Summerfest in Milwaukee, WI. She continued recording and performing her own demo CD, gaining 4 indie record label offers and performing with acclaim at various festivals. Shanti went on to meet Darryl Swann- producer of the Macy Gray albums. Together, they began working diligently; writing and creating songs that give her a distinct, competitive sound.
Aware of her demographic and armed with specific marketing strategies, Shanti is moving forward, servicing these markets through live performances (at such places as The Mint, and The GIG in Hollywood), airplay (currently on 104.7FM in LA, broadcasts on XM Radio, as well as many internet stations) and establishing relationships through PR. BIO
“Grit and glam, street and chic. Music that will move your feet.”
When Shanti was 2, she ran from her parent’s apartment butt-naked, waking the neighbors as she sang her heart out. And she has never stopped. This beautiful and intense girl has the vocal power to send chills down your spine or seduce you with her honest lyrics and strong, playful sexuality.

§ “Stone Cold Lovin’” is a song about a first love that stimulates your mind and body in ways that you never thought possible.
§ “Me and Ronnie (AyAyAy)”, a reggae-tone influenced track, is about loving someone who makes you do stupid things only to have it all blamed on you- AyAyAy. “In the end you have to think for yourself, no matter who’s lovin’ you.”- Shanti
§ During the recording of “Turn Me On”, Darryl and Shanti had the idea to combine it with one of Shanti’s favorite songs, “Push It”(Salt-n-Pepa). “I was so excited about combining these songs together- I am a huge fan of Salt-n-Pepa.”- Shanti
§ Roller-skating, funky, dancehall song “Got Me On” just feels good. Shanti sings about this guy who’s an easy fix and now she’s addicted and has to have him all the time. “It’s a just add water relationship, like instant oatmeal.” –Shanti
§ “Can You Make it Up to Me” is just plain special. Done Shanti’s way, this throwback to Ray Charles is emotional and full of raw power. This song will grab you by the back of your head and make you feel her.
