SECRETO BIO: In 1992 I was introduced to the Caribbean rhythm known today as Reggaeton, not only by Playero in the Dominican Republic, but by a group in my neighborhood called Rude Boys. At the age of 12, I started to beat-box (making instrumental beats with your mouth), but I never knew where it would lead me. I started to produce beats with a system called Fruityloops for about 10 months. In 2002, I began to shift from my studies to try to manage a New York unsigned artist, but I am still standing strong at Montclair State University, in New Jersey. The artist abandoned me in November 2005, right after I almost gave him everything I had. I was so angered by his action that a 50 cent instrumental was playing, and I started to freestyle on it in Spanish. My brother and I were so blown away by my flow that we decided to record it. I thought it was just a beginners luck, so I tested it by developing another song, and to my surprise, I discovered a talent that I never knew I had.
