Jane McGuffin Bio
Rocketball Music is the brainchild of Philadelphia songwriter, Jane McGuffin. Jane started organizing her musical ideas into formal recordings back in 2008, when her songs were published and produced by Songs For Singing.
Jane's first album, "What Do Women Want?" was released in 2009 as a collection of her early works. The first half of this album was recorded at The Studio, where she got to rub elbows with members of The Roots. The second half was recorded at Miner Street Studios, owned by Brian McTear, the founder of Weathervane/Shaking Through. In 2010, she was invited to co-write with Scot Sax, who has a Grammy and a gold single under his belt.
The following year, she made the decision to move towards a more contemporary sound. To do this she recruited several local music students. Now Rocketball Music has close to one hundred songs, clips, and instrumentals in a wide variety of genres and sounds.
