A rootsy blend of folk, country and rock--sometimes a little more country, some a little more folk & some a bit more rock in a style developed over years of experimentation w/ stringed instruments, my own peculiar voice & harmonica. The music is close to home--stories as well as observations, a diverse mix that somehow all fits & comes alive in performance. Original songs & video recipients of growing lists of awards--radio airplay 20+ stations US & Europe, Cable TV artist showcase, indep cable network featured performer. A member of popular regional bands in Ohio (Eli Radish, Buckeye Buckeroos), Colorado (Airborn, Emerson Biggins) & for the David Alan Coe band, Kennedy has toured and traveled, sometimes with band and sometimes on a personal journey, capturing all in his compositions. Most recently performing at music festivals & smaller intimate venues, the music he plays is his own, whether originals or unique covers.
