TRIBULATION a.k.a TOTAL PACKAGE
Charismatic, southern rapper Tribulation began his interest in music at an early age. His father along with his uncles established a gospel group called the Marible Brothers when he was only a small child. His mother's father was a well known church pianist who had his left hand cut off when he was six years old while chopping wood but taught himself to play despite his loss.Born Terrell Antrione Marible on May 22, 1978 in Winston Salem, NC, Tp(or Trib) and family, left Winston Salem when he was 10 years old for the big city life in the Hidden Valley neighborhood of Charlotte NC. There he became familiar with the street life hustle and where he met his now business partner Dred Scott( Wendell Lloyd). In 1998, Tp started a rap duo with a friend (Sketch the Tech) called Gustapo(God Uses Talent As Positive Output) and released one EP (Gustapo 1998) and one full length album ( The Gust 1999). The group opened up for acts like Big Pun, Amir, LL Cool J, Beatnuts and Fat Joe. The group disbanded shortly after and both parties went their seperate ways. TP then began his own journey in music. First he and his childhood brother Dred Scott decided to become self contained. This idea planted the seed that became Dopefactory Studio and eventually became RellWenz Entertainment LLC. The two also formed their own duo coincidentally called RellWenz. They released their first project in 2007 entitled "All Aboard" in which they sold 2,000 copes out of the trunk literally. The two have opened up for club acts such as Lil Wayne and Yung Joc as well as other major artist. Tribulation is the first soolo artist off the imprint to be released. " This guy sings, raps, writes, produces and engineers his own work. He's like the Swiss Army knife of the music world". Hence, the moniker "Total Package" fit to a tee. His solo debut is properly entitled " Total Package" and will be released early 2010. Influences: Outkast, Dr. Dre, Tupac, Biggie, Jay-Z, Nas, Michael Jackson, Prince, Scarface, UGK, New Edition, Keith Sweat, Marvin Gaye, No Doubt, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jodeci, Kanye West, and many many more.
