The aurally delicious blend is the result of the collaboration between producer Brian Bristol and singer/songwriter/bassist Sonia Manalili. Bristol is the cadence-crushing, flavor-infusing mastermind behind such scintillating tracks as Lydia Rhodes's cover of Fleetwood Mac's "Dreams" and the dark, dubby remix of Moloko's "Fun for Me." A relative newcomer, Manalili's enticing voice crawls playfully and evocatively into your thoughts, wrangling words into obscure phrases to reveal her contemplative personality.
