Hello everyone! My name is Kate Byers and I am an aspiring singer and songwriter. I have been singing for as long as I can remember with my musical roots taking hold in childhood school choirs followed by college gospel choir. I began writing songs at the age of twelve and have since been able to use this as an essential form of expression through many of my life experiences. Born and raised in Portland, Oregon my earliest musical inspiration came from a close friend of the family's and popular blues singer, Curtis Salgado. Immersed in the lifestyle of a musician through him, my natural gifts and passion came to light and my love for music was realized. Through my words and voice I strive to express the raw emotion that life experiences evoke and touch the hearts of those who can relate.
