John Ryan - Pianist/Composer, Singer/Songwriter (ASCAP)
At an early age John Ryan displayed a great propensity for improvisation and an innate ability to play nearly any song that he had ever heard. A gifted pianist from early childhood, his formative years were spent performing piano and keyboards with jazz, blues, rock, and pop groups. He later combined his studies of music theory/composition with his passion for the acoustic piano and has enjoyed a 30+ year career as an in-demand solo pianist and composer. Throughout his career, John immersed himself in the music of the Great American Songbook while developing his own unique piano style performing concerts and solo piano at the finest clubs and venues in Florida. After building his state-of-the-art recording studio, his career proceeded further into writing and recording original compositions, as well as music and sound scores for the film and video production industry.
In recent years, his music has been featured on several HBO series. John Ryan gained international exposure as a songwriter with the release of the album 'Words Alone, The Music and Lyrics of John Ryan'. Produced and recorded in London, the album features the music and lyrics to 17 of his original compositions. The songs were arranged and conducted by the world-renowned Pete Moore, and performed by the 32-piece Pete Moore Orchestra. Ryan was hired by Panasonic Corporation to compose and perform a musical composition, 'Go For the Gold', for their sponsorship of the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. He was recently hired to write two original songs for the Australian singer, Jerin-Lei, entitled, 'Whisper To Me' and 'Tricks, Lies, & Alibis'. Ryan is currently working on music and recording projects including film scores, and has also been composing and recording new songs for his upcoming CD to be released in 2015.
